sigh

Belinda’s second ibook, which she received after the first one died in the first week of ownership has been running fine, but I’ve been meaning to transfer her applecare from one ibook to the other.

What a challenge.

Because its now 3 days and 1 year since the laptop was purchased, apple ‘procedure’ insists that the proof of purchase be faxed to them before the applecare can be transferred.

So now I have to find it, or go and get it reprinted, or something sigh, fax it to them, wait 48hrs, and hope the gods of Apple customer support smile on me.  I am not hopeful as it is futile trying to argue with an Indian call center on the matter, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t understand’ seems to be the defence against any kind of complaint.

There is only one way to truely express my frustration, and that is in not buying another Apple product, which seems terribly hard on me and less hard on them.

ARRRRRRRRRGH!
