Well, this is a little moot for me, especially given the fact that I’m not in the US and can’t buy this stuff anyway - (But when has not being involved stopped me from commenting on something in the past?) NBC Universal has apparently insisted on a price doubling to Apple and in return Apple has pulled their content from the iTunes store.    This article sums up my feeling on the matter
