I’m probably one of the last people on the internet to learn this, but I found it slightly …. well… as people say ‘only on the internet’

Many years ago Trumpet Winsock and its dialler were the major way many Australians (and others nations I expect) got on to the internet.

I spent many an hour in its odd interface supporting it for the ISP I worked for.

Well, I had wondered what they were doing now; especially since the need for a stand alone dialler/TCP/IP stack went away with Windows 95.

Last I saw,they were embarking on the significant (And I think, utterly nuts) effort to build a 32bit operating system!
