Elvis and 9/11

I mean, it is obvious that Elvis was involved, if you turn the 9 upside down you get a 6 and ifyou add 1 you get the same number of letters as Memphis, apply the same to the 11 and you get Gracelands.

Ubuntu xserver update / self censorship?

Hmm

So, last week, before I went to MS Tech.Ed (yes, I know…) I clicked on the ‘update’ glowing icon in my ubuntu interface.

And then I shut the laptop down for a week and buggered off to Tech.Ed 2006.

So, I turn it on last night, and nothing - X-Server crash on start up.

Getting my laptop back…

It never physically went anywhere , but it was on target to be flung out a window about yesterday.

I’m not talking about my old Dell running Ubuntu, but rather my work Toshiba running Win XP.

The penguin strikes back…

Well - I’ve turned over a new leaf, a little bit anyway.

Thanks to my friendly local unix administrator who sorted out some of the more obscure features of my installation I’m now successfully enjoying the internet with Ubuntu 6.06.
